The verdict, which was read in a Clark County courtroom in Las Vegas, Nevada, included three no guilty verdicts and a hung jury in two attempted murder charges against both Mack and her ex-boyfriend Corey Thomas, where the jury was unable to reach a decision.

In an unusual move, Koppenhaver's attorney changed his client's plea last Thursday to concede guilt on eight domestic battery charges.

The Associated Press normally does not identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault, but Mack gave AP permission to use her name.

Mackinday, who is known as Christy Mack, testified that she was clothed in bed with Thomas when the ex-fighter stormed into her home and assaulted them.

A former mixed martial arts star was convicted by a Las Vegas jury Monday on 29 of 34 felony charges in connection to the 2014 attack of an ex-girlfriend.

"He did it. He used fists to punch the face", Jay Leiderman said of the attacks on Mack.

Koppenhaver was arrested August 18, 2014 after spending 10 days on the run. The jury saw photos of Mack with a broken nose, missing teeth, fractured eye socket and leg injuries. "'Now I have to take you out to the desert and kill you'".

Mackinday, a former adult film star known as Christy Mack, testified over two days during the trial about a history of abuse suffered at War Machine's hands that eventually ended with the brutal assault almost three years ago.

Mack said that after Thomas left, Koppenhaver turned his rage on her. She also had a ruptured liver that prevented doctors from initially operating on her for fear of putting her under anesthesia. He has been serving a one- to four-year sentence for violating his probation on a 2009 conviction for attempted battery involving a 21-year-old woman.
