President Trump responded to the Champs Elysees incident in Paris stating"Our condolences from our country to the people of France" he said at a news conference alongside Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni

US President Donald Trump said in a press conference on Thursday that a shooting in Paris earlier in the day involving police officers is likely another terrorist attack. "What can you say, just never ends", Trump stated.

Trump continued: "Again, it's happening, it seems".

"It looks like another terrorist attack. I just saw it as I was walking in, so that's a bad thing", Trump said.

"It just never ends", the President said at a joint news conference with the Italian Prime Minister.

"We have to be strong, we have to be vigilant, and I've been saying it for a long time", Mr. Trump added.

ISIS claims responsibility for attack in Champs Elysees shopping district, less than a week before France's presidential election according to IS Amaq agency.

Interior ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet told the BBC that the attack started around 9 p.m. local time in Paris when a auto pulled up alongside a police bus.

The shooting has not officially been declared a terrorist act but anti-terrorist forces are leading the investigation, French President François Hollande said.

A police source said officers have issued a warrant for a second suspect who arrived from Belgium by train.

"Our thoughts ar with the killed police officer's family and relatives of the wounded".
