"In my short time in Washington, I've seen first-hand how the system is broken", Trump told graduates at Liberty University, an evangelical school, in Virginia where he was felicitated with an honorary law degree.

Those who have achieved great things always faced critics, Trump said, telling the students to avoid being one of the doubters.

This weekend President Donald Trump gave the commencement address at Liberty University in Lynchburg.

President Donald Trump delivered the commencement address at Liberty University which is located about three miles from my home. "Embrace the label of outsider, because it's the outsiders who change the world and make a real and lasting difference". "Embrace the label", the NY real estate mogul-turned-politician told graduates.

"I really don't think any other president has done more for evangelicals and the faith community in four months than President Trump has", Falwell told The Associated Press in a telephone interview on Friday. "Does that sound familiar, by the way?" Obviously, he was referring to the people back in D.C. Trump added that these officials "think they know everything".

Trump didn't, however, talk about the recent dismissal of James Comey. Even though people around him on both sides of the aisle tried to tell the President that he was making a mistake, Trump fired Comey anyway. "We love setting records", he said.

A highlight of the president's address was when he stated, "I know that each of you will be a warrior for the truth, the country and your family". He also enumerated some of the schools that the university's football team will have to compete with in 2018.

KELLY: Now, this, of course, comes toward the end of what has been safe to say a tumultuous week for the president.

"I'm so proud of our students", said Falwell. A crowd of more than double that size filled an outdoor stadium on campus to welcome just the second sitting president to address the university's commencement.

He said that Trump has made it abundantly clear that his administration will not be hostile to religious expression, as the previous administration was.

It was the third time Trump has appeared at Liberty, founded by the late televangelist Jerry Falwell, who was best known for his anti-gay bigotry and for launching the so-called "Moral Majority" movement. "But very well known, highly respected, really talented people, and that's what we want for the Federal Bureau of Investigation". George H.W. Bush was the first. Eight people are being considered for the job, including the current, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. They are the overwhelming majority of the country.

In an op-ed published by The Washington Post, Dustin Wahl, Paige Cutler, and Alexander Forbes, the Liberty University students behind the "Liberty United Against Trump" letter, characterized Trump as "amoral and self-centered".
