Bataclan Concert Hall Unveils New Facade One Year After Attacks- Paris

A suspect in the 2015 attacks in Paris has been charged in Belgium with being a leader of the extremist cell that killed 130 people.

According to the statement, the man, identified as Yassine A, was arrested on May 31, following a "judicial inquiry" into the Paris attacks for his involvement in murders of a terrorist nature, and being a member of a terrorist group.

The federal prosecutor's office said Friday that he has been remanded in custody for one month.

Prosecutors declined to provide more information.

Atar is also the brother of one of the alleged masterminds of the Paris attack, Oussama Atar.

Atar was arrested on March 27 2016, five days after suicide bombers attacked Brussels airport and subway, killing 32 people.

The Atars are cousins of Ibrahim and Khalid el-Bakraoui, the two brothers who detonated themselves in Brussels.

In November 2015, gunmen and bombers in Paris targeted the Bataclan concert venue, the national soccer stadium and sidewalk cafes leaving 130 dead and 368 people injured, a hundred of them seriously.
