Derrick Rose Wants To Re-Sign With Knicks

The New York Knicks appear to be primed to head in a much younger direction after yet another disappointing season in 2016-17. At least that's what his agent, former National Basketball Association player B.J. Armstrong, says.

Derrick Rose's agent, B.J. Armstrong, said his client wants to re-sign with the Knicks.

However, soon-to-be free-agent point guard Derrick Rose doesn't seem to mind as his agent says that the former Chicago Bulls signal caller wants to remain in the "Big Apple". "We've expressed that to them and been very consistent about it". Keep in mind, he is coming off another surgery in April to fix a torn meniscus in his left knee that could create some real concerns on the team's behalf about his long-term health. It's not clear if the interest is mutual, but Armstrong hinted that Rose would also be willing to take a pay cut to stay in NY. "Whether it happens is on them; all we can do is be clear". Most mock drafts have the Knicks taking Kentucky guard Malik Monk or French point guard Frank Ntilikina with the eighth pick, with the view of having one of them as their point guard of the future. "We want the best team possible".
