Un gigantesque incendie ravage une tour de logements sociaux à Londres le 14 juin 2017 Natalie OXFORD

58 personnes sont considérées comme mortes dans l'incendie de la tour Grenfell depuis ce samedi.

Le nombre de disparus à la suite de l'incendie à Londres est de 58 personnes.

Près de 600 personnes habitaient dans cet immeuble de 120 appartements et, selon les médias britanniques, 70 personnes manqueraient encore à l'appel.

Alors que les célébrations pour son 91e anniversaire battent leur plein, la reine Elizabeth s'est adressée aux Britanniques ce samedi.

La Grenfell Tower, une tour de 24 étages dans le quartier de Kensington, dans l'ouest de Londres, a été dévastée par les flammes dans la nuit de mardi à mercredi.

La reine, qui a observé une minute de silence en hommage aux victimes, a toutefois souligné combien elle avait été surprise, lors de ses récentes visites à des victimes de l'attentat de Manchester ou de l'incendie de la tour Grenfell à Londres, par l'esprit d'entraide et de solidarité de ses compatriotes.

Dans un communiqué publié samedi après-midi, le ministère marocain des Affaires étrangères, rapporte "l'identification formelle de six ressortissants marocains décédés dans l'incendie meurtrier" de la tour Grenfell.

Les bâtiments de grande et très grande hauteur font l'objet d'une réglementation spécifique et particulièrement stricte.
