Apple iPhone 8 accessories already up for pre-orders

While two of them, the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, are expected to be rather minor updates compared to last year's models, the iPhone 8 is expected to be this year's big new release from Apple.

MobileFun has gained a reputation as a somewhat reliable leakster thanks to accurately revealing the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 about 3 months ahead of schedule.

An iPhone's accessories are nearly as important as the iPhone itself, and in this case, they might confirm everything we've been wondering about the highly anticipated Apple product. "Features complete edge to edge screen protection for black phones", reads the product description on the MobileFun website.

"This ultra-thin full cover curved tempered glass screen protector for the iPhone 8 from Olixar offers toughness, high visibility and sensitivity all in one package". The device has a huge 5.8-inch edge-to-edge display. At the top, a complex array of front-facing cameras, as well as fingerprint sensors, will take up a portion of the screen. The screen on both sides of the cutout has been utilized to show icons for battery, time, WiFi and signal strength.

The MobileFun image, which was earlier reported on by BetaNews, shows an iPhone that comes with all of those features.

Just like rival Samsung, Apple is also going for biometric authentication as well, with new cameras trying to provide iPhone buyers with an extra security system. Apple also owns patent for a technology to integrate Touch ID into the power button, allowing users to unlock it by placing their finger on the power button.

The protector is described to be 3D compatible, too. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had told investors in February that the iPhone 8 would have a "function area" at the bottom to offer dynamic controls similar to the Touch Bar on MacBook Pro. Apple is also rumored to be eliminating the bezels around the display and creating a virtual home button.

The product is now listed on United Kingdom retailer Mobilefun with an RRP of £24.99.
