If Eid falls on Sunday, June 25, employees will resume work on Tuesday, June 27.

Asian countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, carrying the largest Muslim population, will have to wait until June 26, to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr since they began their Ramadan fast a day later than the rest of the world. Now we're in the last week of Ramadan, and then the Eid al-Fitr festival.

Muslims greet each other on the day by saying "Eid Mubarak", which translates as "blessed Eid".

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development reported that the Eid al-Fitr day will be declared a day-off in Kyrgyzstan.

The exact start date of the Islamic holiday is still to be determined but the UAE's Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said federal ministries and authorities would be off from Saturday, June 24.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nassir al Bakri, Minister of Manpower also issued a decision stating that Eid holidays in private sector establishments will start from June 24. Most importantly, it is a time to be with friends and family to celebrate peace and one's beliefs.

Although celebrations may vary from country to country, Muslims typically wake up early in the morning of Eid for the Salat ul-Fajr, or the pre-dawn prayer.
