With several potentially franchise-changing players, this National Basketball Association mock draft will attempt to correctly place all 30 first round draftees. As such, the Lakers are moving "closer and closer" to deciding on Lonzo Ball, according to ESPN's Chad Ford.

On Thursday, the NBA Draft will finally take center stage, and already, reports have surfaced stating that the Boston Celtics have agreed to trade away the No. 1 pick to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the No. 3 pick and a protected 2018 first-round pick. "Sources point to Ball as the target".

With that said, the Lakers are reportedly focused on other things in addition to exercising the No. 2 overall pick, including a high-level pursuit of Paul George.

The Lakers are hoping to add another lottery pick to take Duke's Luke Kennard, who they are very high on after working him out earlier this month. The Jazz might be the most willing to sell one of their picks, so they could see how free agency plays out, especially with Gordon Hayward potentially leaving. "Then from three down to nine or ten, you've got a combination of three more point guards, a couple of outstanding wing players in Jackson and Tatum", he added.

One of the biggest parts of this summer is the time where teams look to reload on talent. If the Pacers are in a hurry to offload George entering the NBA Draft week, LA could quickly become an active trade partner considering the young players on the roster and draft picks LA holds. Do they trade their late first round picks to try and move up or do they do as Fran mentioned and stock up on players who have the potential of being great in the future? This draft could be one of the deepest talent-wise.
