Upon their arrival, they were told that a number of patrons, Reinhart among them, were asked to leave after knocking over a table. Reinhart allegedly threw the first punch on the way out, which got her booked on battery charges.

Reinhart started arguing with a security guard while the group was being escorted out, police said. A court date has been scheduled for next month at Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.

Since then, she's released two albums: "Listen Up!" in 2012 and "Better" in 2016.

Reinhart grew up in northwest suburban Wheeling, and graduated from Wheeling High School, but now lives in Encino, California.

Former "American Idol" contestant Haley Reinhart got busted for punching a bouncer in the head.

Still, Reinhart's attorney Dina LaPolt insists it was Reinhart and her friends who were attacked, noting "After forcefully removing [Haley] they violently beat her friend, who sustained multiple injuries. We plan on taking legal action against all those who were involved in this unfortunate incident", LaPolt said in a statement to People magazine.

According to TMZ, a lawyer for the season 10 finalist claims that the bouncers actually assaulted her client. She has also performed and toured with Postmodern Jukebox. She's now on the Netflix show "F Is for Family".
