Orlando City's Cyle Larin has been called up to Canadian National team for Gold Cup Quarterfinals

City's number nine, Cyle Larin, is off to join Canada's Gold Cup squad for Quarterfinal play.

Larin initially was left off his national team's roster following a DUI charge last month. After undergoing an evaluation by Major League Soccer's substance abuse program, missing three games during the process, Larin was cleared to return to competition on June 27. Cyle replaces Toronto FC's Raheem Edwards on the Canada roster and was the only change the team made before finalizing the roster for the rest of their tournament run.

This is Larin's second time playing in a Gold Cup. Canada will face the runners-up from Group C at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Thursday, July 20 at 10 pm. Larin has scored 39 goals in 76 matches for Orlando City including 8 goals in 17 appearances this season. The 7 p.m. match will be nationally televised on ESPN.
