How do cruise ships float

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, announced plans at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., to add a seventh ship to Disney Cruise Line's award-winning fleet, giving families even more opportunities to create magical memories at sea and visit spectacular destinations around the globe.

Part of "Toy Story" Land, which will be coming to Disney World in 2018. Those are slated to launch in 2021 and 2023.

Disney Cruise Line will build a ship to be delivered in 2022, saying that the demand is there for three new ships.

"We decided two ships wouldn't be enough to hold all of the exciting new experiences we have been dreaming up to take family cruise vacations to a whole new level with immersive Disney storytelling, world-class family entertainment, and imaginative innovations that are fantastically fun and uniquely Disney", Chapek said.

While still 4 years away, no ship names, designs or itineraries have been announced for these three ships.

Few details about the new ships were given, except to say that each would have about 1,250 staterooms, slightly larger than Disney's newest ships, according to a news release. All three ships will be powered by clean-burning liquefied natural gas and all will be the same size. There are so many travelers that haven't tried cruising, so it helps to keep reminding them why they should eventually give it a try. Disney World's upcoming Toy Story Land marks the third Toy Story-themed expansion that Disney Parks has undergone, with the first two being Toy Story Playland at Walt Disney Studios Park in 2010 and Toy Story Land at Hong Kong Disneyland.
