A break-in happened Saturday morning at the Las Vegas office of Nevada Republican Sen.

LasVegasNow.com reported that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that someone broke into Heller's office on Sunset but would not confirm the presence of a threatening note. Las Vegas police would not confirm any information about a note to local media outlets.

A "threatening note" was also left at the office after the break-in, according to 8 News Now, based on an anonymous source.

A spokesperson for the senator declined to comment, saying the office "can't comment on or discuss ongoing investigations".

Neither the LVMPD nor Heller's office immediately responded to TPM's requests for comment.

The health care vote was delayed due to Arizona Republican Senator John McCain's surgery.

Senator Heller is one of several republican senators that have previously opposed the healthcare bills to replace Obamacare.

However, as The Post's David Weigel pointed out, Heller is the only Senate Republican facing reelection in 2018 in a state won by Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton previous year. "I can not support a bill that takes insurance away from tens of millions of Americans", he said at a press conference recently with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval.
