Amber Alert issued for LA County teen in vehicle reported stolen

An Amber Alert was issued early Friday, July 21, 2017, after a vehicle was stolen from a Jack in the Box parking lot at 6601 Alondra Blvd.in Paramount with a 17-year-old autistic boy inside.

Frankie Vargoa, 17, was seated inside his sister's auto sometime after 11:30 p.m. Thursday when she ran into Jack in the Box in the 6600 block of East Alondra Boulevard to retrieve an order, said Sgt.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert that included a photo and description of the teen, along with a description and license number of the vehicle.

The vehicle Vargoa was in was described as a four-door 2009 black Honda Civic with gray rims and California license plate number of 7LGH091.

Sheriff's Lt. Richard Harpham says the sister does not believe the teen is capable of driving the auto.

Frankie is Hispanic, 5 feet 7, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Barboa is Autistic with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old child. He was last seen at 6601 Alondra Blvd.in the city of Paramount in a black 4 door Honda, wearing blue gray tank top, tan cargo short and white socks and slippers. The license plate number is 7LGH091.
