Un assaillant a pénétré vendredi dans une colonie de Cisjordanie occupée où il a tué tois civils israéliens à coups de couteau, a indiqué l'armée dans un communiqué. L'attaquant s'est infiltré dans une maison de la colonie de Neve Tsuf, au nord-ouest de Ramallah, précise l'armée sans donner davantage de détails sur l'identité de l'assaillant.

La police israélienne a confirmé la mort d'un deuxième jeune Palestinien qui a été tué lors des affrontements entre Palestiniens et forces israéliennes à Jérusalem-Est vendredi.

Les Palestiniens dénoncent l'installation de détecteurs de métaux aux entrées de l'esplanade des Mosquées, troisième lieu saint de l'islam, décidée après une attaque meurtrière contre des policiers israéliens le 14 juillet à proximité.

Le président palestinien Mahmoud Abbas a annoncé vendredi soir un "gel des contacts" avec Israël, tant que les nouvelles mesures de sécurité mises en place par l'Etat hébreu autour de l'esplanade des Mosquées ne seraient pas annulées.

Selon le ministère de la Santé palestinien, un Palestinien a été tué par les forces israéliennes lors de heurts dans le quartier d'Al-Tur à Jérusalem-Est.

Selon certains médias palestiniens, au moins cinq personnes ont été tuées dans les affrontements de vendredi après-midi.

Le Croissant rouge, les services de premiers secours palestiniens, ont indiqué que 109 Palestiniens avaient été blessés, dont 38 hospitalisés, dans les heurts à Jérusalem-Est.

Dans ces deux villes, l'armée a répondu aux jets de pierres en utilisant des moyens anti-émeutes.

Parmi eux, 170 ont été blessés par des balles réelles ou en caoutchouc, selon la même source.

Pour protester contre les portiques de sécurité, les fidèles ne prient plus sur l'esplanade des Mosquées depuis dimanche et le font en dehors du site.

Les heurts à Jérusalem ont éclaté après la prière hebdomadaire des musulmans près de la vieille ville, dont Israël a interdit l'accès aux Palestiniens de moins de 50 ans dans un contexte de tensions grandissantes depuis une semaine.

Les ministres jordanien et émirati des Affaires étrangères ont demandé que le site soit " immédiatement " rouvert aux fidèles, appelant la communauté internationale à intervenir.

Cette mesure avait provoqué la colère des Palestiniens.
