Les trois indices évoluaient à des records en séance. Le S&P 500 avait terminé à un record en clôture.

La Fed, dont le communiqué tombera à 18h00 GMT, ne devrait pas toucher à ses taux mais pourrait livrer des indices sur le calendrier de la réduction graduelle de son énorme bilan (plus de 4.000 milliards de dollars).

"Dans l'ensemble, les déceptions sur les résultats sont peu nombreuses et espacées dans le temps", a estimé Patrick O'Hare de Briefing dans une note.

Les résultats de Facebook et Paypal sont également attendus mercredi.

Le marché obligataire a subit un sévère arbitrage au profit des actions: les investisseurs veulent 'du risque'et ils se délestent des placements refuges: le T-Bond a '10 ans' a fusé de +6Pts vers 2,31% et le '30 ans' de +6,5Pts vers 2,905%.
