As training camp opens, the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a trade involving linebackers.

Pierre-Louis, 25, was a fourth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2014. The Boston College product will add depth to Kansas City's linebacker group. He tallied 43 tackles and one pass deflection overall as outside linebacker. He started all 13 games as a freshman and finished his career with 360 total tackles and eight sacks along 23 tackles for a loss. He had seven tackles in 13 games last season, the fewest of his career, and played in only six games on defense with his other seven appearances coming exclusively on special teams.

Alexander made the 2017 AFC Pro Bowl team as an alternate last season.

Pierre-Louis also battled injuries and played just 34 of a possible 48 regular season games.

The Chiefs believe Johnson fully recovered and ready for the season opener, and the team returns both Ramik Wilson and Justin March-Lillard.

He had 29 tackles and a forced fumble in two seasons for the Chiefs.

Pierre-Louis brings a run-oriented defensive option for the Chiefs at outside linebacker.
