The announcement comes after the public broadcaster said that it is revamping the format of the hour-long nightly news package.

The CBC has revealed who'll be hosting its flagship news program "The National", which is relaunching in November without longtime host Peter Mansbridge, who departed the show on July 1 after 30 years behind the anchor desk.

Arsenault and Hanomansing will host from Toronto, while Barton will be in Ottawa and Chang will host from Vancouver.

Ian Hanomansing is the current host of CBC News Now.

The CBC will announce details today of its flagship news program The National, including who will host the show.

Among the changes, CBC News has already confirmed it will put more than one host in the anchor seat as it looks to appeal to a younger and more diverse audience.

CBC News editor in chief Jennifer McGuire and Heather Conway, CBC's executive vice-president, English services, will be on hand to talk about the show's future and the process of deciding who will host The National. "They will report as an integrated team, across broadcast and digital, to deliver depth and context on the stories that matter to Canadians".

The revamped edition of "The National" is slated to debut in mid-October.
