Minneapolis school collapses, 1 confirmed dead

The fire department originally reported one person was dead, but later said the fatality was not confirmed.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, natural gas may have caused the explosion.

ABC affiliate KSTP-TV reported that a section of Minnehaha Academy collapsed.

CBS contributors in Minnesota say the explosion happened at Minnehaha Academy.

According to school officials, all students have been accounted for.

Crews are extinguishing the fire and searching for people trapped underneath.

The school's director of advancement, Sarah Jacobson, said that staff and children were told to evacuate before the explosion, although she declined to give further details.
