Keselowski hasn’t won a Cup Series race at his home track. More

Brad Keselowski is doing his best to play NASCAR politics and has fueled a battle of words ahead of the Cup race Sunday at Michigan International Speedway.

A look at the top finishes in Brooklyn, Mich., for the Rochester Hills native. "I think both of those are definite doables for us right now". He'll start in ninth. He's come close to winning this season, including an unlikely second place finish on the road course last week, and his MI track record is pretty good as well with three victories and fourteen top five finishes. The 25-year old from Elk Grove, Calif. Can Larson continue his run of MI victories and climb his way back up to the top of the leaderboard?

"I think it's been a progressive improvement in my team and myself as well", Suarez said. But this is the place to get it done, of course the same can be said for Earnhardt, Kenseth and Bowyer. It's not that stressful either.

"So we'll know for certain at the end of the week based on whether NASCAR takes the cars after the race today". With 14 different winners this season and 13 of the 16 spots available already occupied by winners (Joey Logano's Richmond win was encumbered) the importance of getting to victory lane has never been greater.

The bad luck and bad finishes just seems to keep piling up on Joey Logano this season.

In his No. 22 Ford Fusion, he took third place in the race here in June, doing so in a auto he didn't think wasn't running as well as it should have. Elliott is qualified for the playoffs by points at the moment but is by no means safe as there are a lot of good drivers still searching for their first victory this season.

"That showed again in the spring when we were able to drive up to third with a vehicle that wasn't as good as a third-place auto (should be)".

However, Larson's been in a funk since mid-July with three straight finishes outside of the top 23.

"We'll try to be better this time", he said. Over the past week, he has been involved in a bit of a back-and-forth with Kevin Harvick, who suggested Junior's inability to achieve more success has hindered the sport's growth. "We've made some good gains, and it looks like our team has got good speed, so we're hoping to try and turn some things around here and get our third win here in MI".
