17 Immigrants People Found Inside Tractor Trailer in Edinburg Texas

Several undocumented immigrants have been found inside a trailer in Edinburg, Texas according to police.

Police were notified by a anxious family member in Mexico who reported that a relative was locked inside a trailer that was getting to hot for those inside. Sunday's discovery comes less than a month after more than 30 people were found inside a trailer in San Antonio.

Police say the owner of the trailer is from Cuba, and the immigrants inside were from Romania, Guatemala and Mexico.

Police arrived at the truck stop and started knocking on trailers in the parking lot to find the trapped people.

ABC13 reported they did not know the condition of the people who were found inside the vehicle. Robert Rodriguez, a Public Affairs Supervisor for Border Patrol, said they are as yet assembling points of interest.

A male and female of Cuban nationality who were accountable for the tractor-trailer were kept, police said.
