Brother of main suspect arrested in model Chloe Ayling 'kidnapping' investigation

He is scheduled to appear before a magistrate in London on Thursday.

Ms Ayling's lawyer Francesco Pesce has said she was told she would be sold in the Middle East "for sex".

The brother of a man charged with kidnapping a British model has been arrested in Birmingham.

Michal Konrad Herba, 36, was held on a European Arrest Warrant at an address in Tividale, West Midlands.

Yesterday police investigating the kidnap allegation arrested the brother of the chief suspect.

A tearful Chloe Ayling told ITV's This Morning about her capture, which she said left her crying nearly every day, too paranoid to leave her room and experiencing nightmares.

She told officers she was held for six days and had been snatched by an global criminal gang called Black Death that planned to sell her to a Middle Eastern buyer to be sexually abused.

'But the headlines have been so insane, they've taken details and completely twisted them ...

'But then It's easy for them to say that but when you're actually in my situation it's not that easy.

Italian police said Ms Ayling was snatched by a group calling itself Black Death in Milan last month.

Ayling, from Coulsdon, south London, was allegedly drugged with ketamine and stuffed in a suitcase before being driven from Milan to a remote farmhouse near Turin and held against her will for six days before she was dropped off at the British consulate in Milan.

Questions have been raised over whether Ayling was complicit in a fake kidnapping after it emerged she went shoe-shopping with her abductor and had met him during a business meeting in Paris earlier this year.

She said: "It has been so frustrating and hurtful to have people not believe me and to cast doubt on what I have been through".

'She'd been through an ordeal, she wanted to forget it and come back home and start her normal modelling life'.

The images were sent on WhatsApp groups between models who have worked with Ayling in the past.
