In somewhat unceremonious fashion, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has let everyone know when he will finally report to the Steelers.

Running back Le'Veon Bell, who has stayed away from the team all offseason, responded to a fan's tweet on Tuesday night with a return date.

September 1 is the date after Pittsburgh's final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

His simple answer? "9-1-17" with a wink emoji. The two-time Pro Bowl running back has been seeking a long-term deal.

"Then he is set to show up, sign his $12.1 million franchise tender and play for his team".

It was reported that Bell turned down an offer from the Steelers for a five-year deal that would have paid him more than $12 million per season at the deadline.

Our numberFire models project Bell for 1,389.7 rushing yards and 10.0 rushing touchdowns on 295.3 rushing attempts in 2017, plus 85.0 catches for 712.9 receiving yards and 3.5 receiving touchdowns.
