Now any iPhone owner willing to switch to Virgin can get in on its deal of 12 months of unlimited data for $1. From now through September 29th, those with a compatible iPhone can receive the Virgin Mobile Inner Circle SIM2 Card Kit for free by ordering it at VirginMobileUSA.com. After going iPhone-only back in June, and offering a really sweet deal to those buying a new phone, it has now extended the offer to existing iPhone owners switching to the carrier. Every time a member of the plan upgrades to a new iPhone, he/she will receive 6 months of unlimited service for $1. All you need to do is port your number and make sure you have an iPhone 5s or newer device.

Virgin says that the deal is open for a short time, but doesn't specify a cutoff date.

"At Virgin Mobile, we don't like playing by the rules, even our own", Virgin Mobile USA CEO Dow Draper said in a press release. "Consumers know that the Inner Circle is the real deal, but many love their current phones or don't want to upgrade yet".

Virgin, one of the prepaid arms of Sprint, first announced the $1-a-year service, dubbed Inner Circle, as part of a radical transformation, including no longer selling Android phones. "It's also a great way to try out the Virgin Mobile network with your own iPhone".
