Ubisoft has announced dates for Ghost War, the new player-versus-player mode for Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

Ghost War will have two teams of four (4v4) battle it out in a team deathmatch setting where good strategy, tactics and communication will be just as crucial to success as skill. Teams will choose from a roster of varied classes across three categories - Assault, Marksman and Support - that fill specific roles on the battlefield as they navigate large-scale open maps and take down their enemies.

The Open Beta for Ghost War will contain six of the modes twelve classes. Players will be able to preload the beta starting on September 19 for both those that own and don't have the base game.

For those interested in getting a look at Ghost War, Ubisoft will be streaming gameplay on its official Twitch channel September 19th at 9am PT. Each class has its own weapons, customization and combat perks as well as specific PvP-only mechanics such as suppressing fire. Though the teams are small, Ubisoft is promising large scale maps for the game mode, which makes sense considering how sprawling its recreated Bolivia is in the base game. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Players were given an indication of what to expect with the release of a new trailer on Wednesday morning.
