Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams' Las Vegas fight has been called off at the last minute.

Adams had been due to get in the ring at 3pm in Las Vegas - or 11pm in the United Kingdom - a few hours before the middleweight title clash between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.

There was a problem with the pre-fight test meaning Vlajk failed her medical, forcing the Hungarian to pull out of her scheduled bout in Las Vegas.

She tweeted: "I'm devastated that I'm not boxing tonight, due to a problem with my opponent, thank you everyone for your support and kind messages".

Adams jumped at the chance to appear on the high-profile card, hoping to achieve a goal she's held since the days when she would stay up into the early hours to watch her heroes on television.

The Las Vegas fight on a huge pay-per-view event would have been Adams's most high profile fight as a professional and increased her exposure in the United States and internationally.
