Auburn QB Sean White out of jail after public intoxication arrest

Auburn backup quarterback Sean White has been arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

White, 21, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday after having served a two-game suspension for undisclosed reasons.

White, who was suspended for the first two weeks of the season, did not record any stats this season.

Sean White faces potentially more discipline just one day after returning to the team from his suspension.

"Coach Malzahn is aware of the situation", an Auburn spokesman said Sunday, per the report.

The Tigers beat FCS Mercer 24-10 on Saturday.

It marks the conclusion of a quick fall for White at Auburn, as he is only about a year removed from becoming the Tigers' unquestioned starter.

White was arrested at the City of Auburn's Douglas J. Watson Municipal Complex on N Ross Street, right next door to the Auburn Police Department.

In 2016 he played in 11 games with 10 starts and led the SEC in completions at 64 percent.

He's made just a single tweet, unrelated to football, since that time. Knee and ankle injuries suffered during his redshirt freshman season in 2015 forced him out of the lineup after he had taken over the starting job from Jeremy Johnson.
