"At this moment, we finally have the opportunity to bring all our technologies together in a single product". Some years ago, observing automotive firms were not changing their sports, I committed the company to develop new battery technology.

Dyson may be on the verge of revealing plans to launch its own electric vehicle, according to a new report.

Dyson's move into the electric auto space comes as traditional vehicle manufacturers are increasingly turning their attention away from internal combustion and towards electric power.

"The latest digital motor and energy storage systems power the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and cord-free vacuum line".

"We've started building an exceptional team that combines top Dyson engineers with talented individuals from the automotive industry", he said.

Dyson has confirmed it is developing its own electric vehicle, following years of rumour and speculation. Rumors of Dyson's interest in electric vehicles have been swirling for years, and the company recently hired executives from both Aston Martin and Tesla.

Sir James Dyson has decided against revealing any specific information about the vehicle, but the announcement has been expected for some time.

The move caused a stir, as did Dyson's hiring of Tesla communications executive Ricardo Reyes earlier this year, fuelling a resurgence in speculation around the British company's development of an electric auto.

Soon after, the document was altered to say: "The Government is providing a grant of up to £16m to Dyson to support research and development for battery technology at their site in Malmesbury".
