Backstage WWE Update On Neville's Status

The King of the Cruiserweights was dethroned when Amore's low blow allowed him to pick up a shocking win.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Neville walked out when he learned of the loss he was to take.

The WWE cruiserweight division has been surrounded by controversy as of late. Neville was reportedly absent from several house shows as well and had to be replaced by Mustafa Ali.

Neville's seemingly imminent WWE departure dominated yesterday's headlines. There was talk of the match being made non-title, but then it was revealed that Neville wouldn't be there so the change to Kalisto was made.

Unfortunately for Enzo, all his gloating came back to haunt him on Monday Night Raw this week when he put the title on the line against Kalisto in a lumberjack match.

Neville is still under contract and has not been released by the WWE, but he is said not to be factored into any current plans which adds more credence to the idea that he might not return to WWE programming.

Neville (real name Benjamin Satterley) now appears to be quitting the promotion although WWE has officially denied it and his profile hasn't been removed from the website.

Though some of the details conflict other reports, the reports of Neville wanting out of the company seem to be true and that doesn't help the case of 205 Live, especially after losing Aries months prior to this.
