This will be the Colts and Titans' first Monday Night Football game of the year as their fans finally get to enjoy the dulcet tones of Jon Gruden talking about his various Gruden Grinders.

While notably missing the Titans' Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Mariota is now hopeful that he will be able to return on Monday evening against the Colts. "... We're going to take it day-by-day, no different than what the process was last week. It's just taking it one day at a time and hopefully I'll be ready to go".

The fact that he talked to the media Wednesday as regularly scheduled was a good sign.

Coach Mike Mularkey said that his quarterback did more on Wednesday than he did last week, but he also wants to see more mobility from Mariota to prove he won't re-injure himself by playing this week. "He's got to show that by the end of the week". "They've done a great job, and I am feeling good".

". I wasn't able to do everything [Wednesday], but being able to be out here with the guys, doing some stuff, was big".

"Hopefully toward the end of the week, I get more on my plate and I feel comfortable to try and play on Monday", Mariota said.

Although the Titans have already reiterated that the franchise would not rush Mariota back into the lineup, Matt Cassel's performance against the Dolphins was surely a cause for concern.
