The Game Awards Nominees for 2017 Have Been Revealed

We're nearing that time of the year when we need to start talking about awards and Game of the Year, and so The Game Awards have officially announced their nominees for 2017.

Bungie's FPS RPG joins hugely popular singleplayer games The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Horizon: Zero Dawn as the only games to have received as many nominations.

Some of the most notable nominations for the games include "Game of the Year", "Best Game Direction", and "Best Music".

In fact, all five games up for the top Game of the Year prize are all only available on one format except for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds which itself is now only on PC but will be coming to Xbox One by the end of the year. The honor belongs instead to Zelda, Mario, PUBG, Horizon, and Persona 5. Take a look at the full list and cast your vote for each category over on the awards page, we'll post the nominees for a few big categories down below.

Hideo Kojima accepts the Industry Icon award onstage at The Game Awards 2016 at the Microsoft Theater on December 1, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. Luckily you'll be able to watch the show for free on almost every gaming platform, mobile, and PC. Does anything stand out to you?
