Katherine Jenkins has revealed she's expecting her second child with husband Andrew Levitas - two years after welcoming her first child, Aaliyah.

The sweet announcement comes shortly after Katherine told Hello! magazine that she would love to have a second child.

The Welsh opera singer shared the happy news by posting a snap of her two-year-old daughter Aaliyah wearing a superheroine cape, with the words: 'Sidekick coming soon...'

Along with the picture, posted on Twitter, Jenkins wrote: "Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our 2nd child - a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!"

Taking to Instagram, the famous singer revealed she is expecting a baby boy next year. There's no ovulation charts on the wall or anything... not yet anyway ... but that's because I'm about to go on tour.

Katherine and Andrew got married in September 2014, one year after they began dating. She said: "It has been a whirlwind". But when you know, you know and with Andrew, I just knew straight away. "He's an awesome husband, an wonderful dad and I just feel like I understand the reason for everything now".
