L'interview a même fait le buzz sur les réseaux sociaux où les internautes ont abondamment commenté le regard furtif du Premier ministre démissionnaire et la présence d'un homme avec un papier entre les mains.

La démission surprise de Saad Hariri depuis l'Arabie saoudite, d'où il a dénoncé la "main mise" de l'Iran sur son pays, a précipité le Liban dans une nouvelle crise. Mais samedi soir, il a pris part à une réception organisée à l'aéroport de Ryad pour le roi Salmane qui revenait de Médine (ouest), selon le bureau de presse du premier ministre libanais. "Il est assigné à résidence", a-t-il assuré, réclamant à l'Arabie saoudite de le "libérer". C'est en tout cas l'avis d'Hassan Nasrallah, leader du mouvement. "On lui interdit jusqu'à ce moment de rentrer au Liban", a-t-il lancé.

Des Libanais demandant le retour de Saad Hariri le 12 novembre 2017 à Beyrouth.

"Nous sommes préoccupés de la situation au Liban parce que le Liban a une longue histoire avec la France, et nous sommes soucieux de sa stabilité, nous sommes soucieux de son intégrité, nous sommes soucieux de la non-ingérence et nous sommes soucieux de la constitution libanaise", a martelé le ministre, qui a souhaité "que le gouvernement libanais puisse se stabiliser le plus vite possible".

Il convient de rappeler que Saad Hariri avait présenté sa démission depuis Riyad, capitale de l'Arabie Saoudite, ce 4 novembre. La décision avait surpris les autorités libanaises qui ne s'y attendaient pas du tout. "Nous appelons les forces politiques (du pays) à se concentrer sur le Liban et sur ce qu'ils peuvent apporter aux citoyens (et exhortons) le Premier ministre Hariri à retourner dans le pays", a-t-elle insisté.

Les journalistes, notamment libanais, n'ont pas été autorisés à assister à cette rencontre.

L'Arabie saoudite sunnite et l'Iran chiite, deux poids lourds de la région, s'affrontent sur plusieurs dossiers du Moyen-Orient, notamment la guerre en Syrie et au Yémen.
