Nicolas Batum (elbow) exits Hornets' win early, questionable for Friday

Nicolas Batum (elbow) ruled out for Hornets on Friday

Batum reportedly feels this new injury isn't as bad as his left elbow injury that kept him out for six weeks, which makes sense because it didn't look bad in the second quarter on Wednesday. He returned November 15, starting in a home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and has played in the Hornets' last five games.

Charlotte Hornets guard Nicolas Batum is just starting to get his legs back after missing a handful of games to start the season, but he might be in danger of sitting out at least another game after sustaining an elbow injury during Wednesday's 129-124 home win over the Washington Wizards. The Hornets didn't practice Thursday, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

If Batum ultimately gets ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Cavs at Quicken Loans Arena, then Jeremy Lamb could expect a heavy dosage of minutes.

He is averaging 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists in four appearances this season, his ninth in the National Basketball Association.
