'Embarrassed' Elway: No changes to Broncos coaching staff this season

Broncos coach Vance Joseph: 'No one has given up'

General Manager John Elway of the Denver Broncos looks on after their win over the Carolina Panthers during Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium on February 7, 2016 in Santa Clara, California.

Elway acknowledged this has been a tough year for the team.

Broncos fans should not expect any changes to the team's coaching staff this season. The Broncos are obviously in need of a quarterback, but their current positioning in the draft order could make it hard to get one of either Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen. Denver have lost eight straight games, their longest losing streak since 1967.

"I'm embarrassed about it and will do my part to hopefully get this thing turned around next year", he said in the interview.

First-year head coach Vance Joseph said this week that he's "disappointed in the season" but that his players have not given up. "We want to push forward, keep working, keep studying, keep pushing details".

At this point, the questions surrounding the franchise are deeper than just how they might revamp the roster through the NFL Draft, but we're going to discuss it anyway. "And trying to win football games, we don't want guys just showing up to work and just checking boxes".
