Gladiators Unite! 'Scandal' And 'How To Get Away With Murder' Crossover Is Coming To ABC

What's better than an all-new episode of Scandal or How to Get Away With Murder?

ABC has just fulfilled the hopes of all die-hard Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder fans: a crossover is officially in the works.

Zetna Fuentes directed the "HTGAWM" episode, which was written by Morenike Balogun & Sarah L. Thompson. The "Scandal" crossover installment was written by Raamla Mohamed directed by "Scandal" star Tony Goldwyn.

The upcoming crossover will be the first for the two shows, and its timing is flawless because "Scandal" is expected to wrap up after seven seasons.

Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder are both going to return with new episodes later this month. This spot look familiar?!

"Scandal" is now in its seventh and final season, while "How to Get Away with Murder" is in its fourth. "Hey Ms @violadavis ❤️ check it out", wrote Washington in the caption of a photo posted to Instagram that showed her sitting on a bench in Keating's courthouse hallway.

This will be the first time the two actresses guest star on each other's shows. There is no certain air date yet for the crossover, but Deadline states it will air later this spring. While How To Get Away With Murder is on its fourth season and has not been canceled yet, the drama has been seeing a steep decline in viewership.

Things are about to get real in the Oval Office and the courtroom because Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating will be in sync for some serious takedowns.

"I'll never say never because you can't, but I never think there will be a crossover", he stated.

Fresh episodes of Rhimes' programming - better known as ABC's TGIT - returns on January 18.
