Diferente do que aconteceu um pouco mais cedo com o Fluminense, o Cruzeiro não decepcionou e garantiu a sua classificação para a segunda fase da 49.ª edição da Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior nesta terça-feira, pela terceira e última rodada da primeira fase. Aos 11, o time ampliou com Gabriel Novaes e, aos 23, Toró fechou a conta do primeiro tempo.

Agora, o Tricolor Paulista vai enfrentar o Botafogo-SP novamente. Os dois se enfrentaram na fase de grupos da competição e os meninos do Tricolor atropelaram o Fogão, vencendo por 4 a 0.

Aos poucos, o Tricolor conseguia com seu toque de bola envolvente criar alguma oportunidade. Aos 19 minutos do segundo tempo, ele abriu espaço e chutou de fora da área, com efeito, no ângulo esquerdo de Tiepo.

A Chape teve chances com Alan no primeiro tempo. No final da primeira etapa, Alan tentou mais uma vez surpreender o São Paulo, mas a bola foi por cima.

Depois dos lampejos de Toró, quem retomou o protagonismo do jogo foi o mau tempo.

Na etapa final, porém, a expulsão do zagueiro Ruan, aos 14 minutos, foi decisiva. Um raio que caiu nas proximidades provocou a queda de energia elétrica no Estádio Santa Cruz, e a partida ficou interrompida por 17 minutos.

Enquanto o São Paulo já estava garantido na próxima fase, a Chapecoense tinha uma missão mais dura pela frente. A Chapecoense ainda lutou muito, mas não conseguiu diminuir e o Tricolor venceu por 2 a 0.
