'Flower' Trailer: Hipster Teens Try To Take Down Predator In Dark Comedy

Flower, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival past year, has the impressive cast of Zoey Deutch, Kathryn Hahn, Adam Scott, Tim Heidecker, Joey Morgan, Dylan Gelula, and Maya Eshet.

The movie might be called Flower, but Zoey Deutch is definitely not a shrinking violet in this new trailer for her upcoming dark comedy.

In the end, Flower buckles underneath its attempt at balancing its plethora of tones, ultimately abandoning the emotional journey of its central character in favor of a tidier ending.

The Why Him? and Before I Fall actress stars as Erica, a rebellious 17-year-old living with her mom, Laurie (Kathryn Hahn), and her mother's new boyfriend, Bob (Tim Heidecker), in suburban Los Angeles. When Bob's mentally unbalanced son Luke (Joey Morgan) arrives from rehab to live with the family, Erica finds her domestic and personal life overwhelmed.

Flower is set to finally bloom at select cinemas in the United States on March 16. With Luke and her sidekicks Kala (Dylan Gelula) and Claudine (Maya Eshet) in tow, Erica acts out by exposing a dark secret of high-school teacher Will (Adam Scott), with perilous results; their teenage kicks become a catalyst for growing up in unexpected and unpredictable ways. Max Winkler (Ceremony, New Girl) wrote and directed the comedy, with Matt Spicer (Ingrid Goes West) co-writing.
