This time, Green said, Trump has given lawmakers additional reason to remove him from office - by referring to Haiti, El Salvador and some African countries as "shithole countries" on Thursday during a meeting on immigration.

However Trump has denied using such a phrase and instead claimed the language used was "tough".

Green recounted his experiences during the civil rights movement, saying he knows what bigotry and racism looks like.

As we began this new year in Congress, we have heard about discussions between House and Senate "leaders", regarding the promises they made to certain House and Senate members that they will indeed get a vote to reinstate President Obama's DACA amnesty. "I regret to say the words I have to say". Green brought forth articles of impeachment on the House floor in early December, but it failed in a decidedly. He said he will not lobby for votes, and that every representative will have to vote their conscience. Green said in a release.

Green argued that Trump should be impeached for his rhetoric against certain racial and ethnic groups in the USA, including Latinos, Muslims and African-Americans.

Green's original articles of impeachment cited Trump's statements seeming to defend some of the white nationalist marchers in Charlottesville, his attacks on black NFL players kneeling during pre-game national anthem performances, his tweets recirculating an extremist group's anti-Muslim videos, and a slew of other incidents the congressman deemed racist. The House overwhelmingly voted, 364-58, in December to kill the resolution.
