2018 Maruti Swift Spotted In India

Shares of Maruti Suzuki were trading higher in early trade on Thursday after the carmaker announced a price increase ranging from Rs 1,700 and Rs 17,000 (ex-showroom- Delhi) across models owing to increase in commodity and other administrative and distribution costs.

According to a stock exchnage filing, the largest auto manufacturer in India has hiked prices in a range of Rs 1,700 to Rs 17,000 across models.

The new prices are effective from January 10, 2018.

MSI sells a range of models starting with hatchback Alto 800 to premium crossover S-Cross, priced between Rs 2.45 lakh and Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the model-wise list of increased prices hasn't been released so far, the increase can be expected as per the current price range of different models of the auto maker. The company had said last month that it will increase prices from January. A Honda spokesperson added that the prices of Accord Hybrid, company's costliest auto in India at Rs 43.21 lakh (ex-showroom price), will not be affected.
