Reuben Foster arrested for marijuana possession in Alabama

Alabama officials released the booking photo for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster Friday evening. FanRag Sports confirmed the arrest by a database search.

Foster, a first-round NFL Draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers last April, recently finished up his rookie season, during which he recorded 72 tackles in 10 games.

Still, the 49ers drafted Foster with the 31st pick in the draft.

The charge of second-degree marijuana possession in Alabama comes when an individual possesses for personal use. He blew up at medical personnel at the National Football League combine and his urine sample came back dilute, which is an automatic positive test.

He led the team in total tackles with 115 as a senior, while also collecting 13 tackles for loss, five sacks and eight quarterback hurries in 2016. Bail was set a time $2,500, AL.com reported.

Hopefully, for Foster's sake, it will wind up being little more than a young person's mistake.
