Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the writer and star of Amazon's Fleabag, wrote and will executive-produce the miniseries.

America has set a premiere date for the cat-and-mouse thriller Killing Eve, and the first photos suggest that the Grey's Anatomy grad is the squeaky half of that equation. Oh's Eve is a journalist who picks up on Villanelle's (Jodie Comer, The White Princess) killing spree, only to wind up on a bloody collision course with her. Co-starring alongside the duo are Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter, True Blood), who plays Carolyn, a lead MI6 agent, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Downward Dog) as Elena, Eve's assistant. Rounding out the cast are Kim Bodnia (The Bridge), David Haig (Penny Dreadful), Sean Delaney, and Owen McDonnell (My Mother and Other Strangers).

Sarah Barnett, BBCA President, commented: "In Killing Eve, a genius bunch of women behind and in front of the camera transcend the predictable with this amusing and heart-stopping twisted cat and mouse thriller".

"It was before Fleabag was made into a TV show that Sally approached me about this job", Waller-Bridge informed reporters while promoting Killing Eve at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Friday. "Someone takes a big chance and says, 'Why don't you do an entire show?' ... and BBC America says, 'You can cast it how you want.' This is a little bit of the (needed) change I feel this panel represents".

"I feel in a completely different and separate world with Killing Eve", Oh said. Eve and Cristina "are both determined characters". [Eve] doesn't have things under control. In the first two episodes she's quite insecure and has not found her voice. "Also how my character is intricately involved with Villanelle and whatever that might mean, that you're constantly in this tone and style of the thriller that it's so different I don't necessarily have those character comparisons at all".

As a closer, BBC America teased its plans to bring Premier League Darts to the US on February 1.
