Tennessee had three players score in double digits, led by Mercedes Russell who had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Coming off a career-high 37 points in the win at Vanderbilt, Williams was held to 9 points on 3-of-13 shooting and added 5 rebounds.

Tennessee would jump out to a 74-70 lead in the first few minutes of overtime before the Aggies finally got their groove back. Hillsman remained flawless from the floor, however, going 5-for-5 with 10 points and seven boards for A&M.

The Vols' victory Saturday was more decisive. Bowden led the Volunteers with 15 points while Alexander contributed 14 against Texas A&M's towering front line.

A&M's momentum continued in the early stages of the fourth quarter, as it surged to a seven-point advantage with 6:41 remaining. That was the only field goal the Aggie women made the entire overtime. The Vols won the battle of the boards, 38-29, and held even in points in the paint 32-32. Tennessee again had a chance to win the game, but turned it over.

The closing stages of overtime were similar to regulation, as each possession proved to be more crucial than the last.

Williams finally stopped the bleeding with a jumper with 47 seconds left in overtime.

Texas A&M: The 3-point shooting that kept Texas A&M relatively close in the first half deserted the Aggies in their attempt to rally. Williams would make her three free throws to give Texas A&M the lead.

The Aggies committed 17 turnovers.

The Aggies have been playing at far less than full strength during SEC play. The London, England native rewarded UT with a 12-point, five-rebound performance of her own. Prior to these two games she had only scored 10+ points on two occasions, James Madison (11/15) and Alabama State (12/3). This was the second year in a row that the game between these two teams in College Station was decided in overtime.

Tennessee travels to No. 9 SC, who won the 2016 national championship, on Sunday.
