Governor Greitens is now facing allegations that he blackmailed a woman he had an affair with in 2015.

Despite rumors swirling around social media and the Missouri statehouse, Gov. Eric Greitens has no plans of stepping down this week, his personal attorney said Friday morning. However, on Friday, a Greitens spokesman called rumors that he would hand in his resignation by the end of the day "completely false". "He is at work today and will continue to serve as governor".

The governor is expected to release his budget early next week.

The governor has admitted to the affair, but has vehemently denied the blackmail allegations. Among other things, the Thursday release says the tax plan will be revenue neutral and will cut taxes for 97% of Missourians, but doesn't specify how that goal will be reached, or how much taxes will be cut.

"We're going to cut taxes on working families".
