Dense Fog Engulfs Delhi On Republic Day

January 27: As the intense cold wave and fog continued in the national capital, as many as 18 trains were cancelled, 47 arriving late, 14 rescheduled due to low visibility on Saturday.

The Met office has forecast clear skies during the day.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.

The visibility was recorded 100 metres at 5.30 am which further dipped below 50 metres at 8.30 AM.

It was a cold Saturday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius in the capital, a notch below the season's average.

At least 18 trains were cancelled, 29 delayed and seven rescheduled due to fog in several parts of northern India. Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 18.4 and 8.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
