Iran's top leader says United States relocates IS to Afghanistan

Reacting to the recent spate of deadly attacks in Afghanistan, the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the USA is moving Daesh fighters from Iraq and Syria to Afghanistan in order to justify its presence in the region.

Ayatollah Khamenei made it clear that the Washington government is behind the emergence of Daesh in the region and said that by relocating Daesh to Afghanistan, the USA aims to legitimize its military presence in the region and ensure the security of the Zionist regime of Israel. Also this morning, ISIL terrorists launched a coordinated attack on an army post near the Marshal Fahim military academy in western Kabul, as a result of which 11 Afghan soldiers were killed and 16 others wounded.

Speaking to his theology students, the Leader said, "The U.S. seeks to inflict interior conflicts on countries of the region, to prevent them from opposing the impudent agent of arrogance: Zionism".

Washington wants to advance their own political and economic agendas through destabilizing Afghanistan, he added.

Khamenei said: "The Americans are themselves the main cause of insecurity in Afghanistan". The incidents in Afghanistan were all caused by the US, either by use of a mediator or directly, over 20 years ago.

"The very same hands that created Daesh to use it as an instrument for oppression and crime against the people of Syria and Iraq, now and after facing defeat in the regions, are seeking to relocate Daesh to Afghanistan", the leader said, adding that recent killings signify the start of the plot, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported.
