According to Texas Department of Public Safety Officials, a trooper stopped to help a driver in a 2017 Ford pickup with a trailer on FM 925, in Wilbarger County. The trooper discovered vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the trailer worth $6.11 million and weighing more than 1,000 pounds.

Federico Caracoza, 42, and Veronica Chavez-Leyva, 38, both of Oklahoma City, were taken into custody and face charges of possession of marijuana.

In a second stop Saturday, authorities found 34 pounds of marijuana and 2 pounds of methamphetamine in a Nissan Sentra.

The drugs allegedly were being transported from Modesto, California, to Greenville, South Carolina. The illegal drugs are worth approximately $704,000.

Aaron Jones, of Los Angeles, Tyler Ward, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, and Nicholas Brown, of Joplin, Missouri, were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana.
