O comunicado de Carlos Silva surge na sequência de o tribunal ter decidido fazer uma partipação contra o Banco Privado Atlântico ao Banco de Portugal e à Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM) por alegadamente se recusar a notificar o seu presidente.

Carla Marinho falava à saída da sessão de hoje do julgamento, que ficou marcada pela junção aos autos de um requerimento dos advogados de Carlos Silva, em que o presidente do BPA declara estar disponível para depor como testemunha por videoconferência a partir de Angola, onde reside, notando, contudo, que ainda não foi notificado para prestar depoimento.

"Atendendo a que vivo em Angola, e porque face às falsidades que têm sido ditas urge um esclarecimento célere, desde já, disponibilizo-me para que o meu depoimento possa ser efetuado por videoconferência, após notificação para o efeito", adiantou o banqueiro angolano.

Na manhã de hoje, o Ministério Público propôs que fosse então tentada a notificação por email, sendo que o tribunal determinou igualmente que se solicitassem mais informações ao Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras e à Autoridade Tributária sobre o banqueiro luso-angolano, com vista à sua notificação.

O ex-procurador do Departamento Central de Investigação e Acção Penal (DCIAP) está pronunciado por corrupção passiva, branqueamento de capitais, violação de segredo de justiça e falsificação de documentos, o advogado e arguido Paulo Blanco por corrupção activa em co-autoria, branqueamento também em co-autoria, violação de segredo de justiça e falsificação de documento em co-autoria e o engenheiro Armindo Pires, também em co-autoria, por corrupção activa, branqueamento e falsificação de documento.

O processo Operação Fizz tem por base acusações ao ex-vice-presidente de Angola Manuel Vicente de ter corrompido o ex-procurador Orlando Figueira com o pagamento de 760 mil euros para que arquivasse dois inquéritos, um deles o caso 'Portmill', relacionado com a aquisição de um imóvel de luxo no empreendimento Estoril-Sol. "Tenho muita mágoa e lamento que a exposição de Orlando Figueira feita ao tribunal em novembro (2017) não tenha sido apresentada antes", enfatizou.

O requerimento foi entregue à hora do almoço no tribunal pelo advogado Nuno Teodósio Oliveira, do advogado Castanheira Neves. O MP já se opôs ao pedido, mas a palavra final compete ao coletivo de juízes presidido por Alfredo Costa.
