Telangana announces building material manufacturing park



The park that will come up about 250 acres will have UAE-based KEF Infra as its anchor company and it will house a plant in about 50 acres in the park.

Besides investing Rs 650 crore in its own plant in an extent of 50 acres as an anchor investor in the park, KEF Infra will promote the park for investments from ecosystem players in India and overseas. "Within three to four days we will finalise a location", KTR told newspersons.

KEF Infra, which has a 42-acre facility in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, "manufactures hospitals, schools, hotels, homes and commercial buildings". KTR said the government will provide land for the park and create basic infrastructure including roads, power, water, among others. This park is an extension of government's agenda to encourage local manufacturing by not only providing them amenities at subsidised rates but also to procure their products for State building. For other units in the park, we will also be promoting to our other investors from Middle East to invest in this. "With this plant we will be able to do in four to six months what takes 24 months to construct", Kottikollon said, pointing out the park will have the capacity to accommodate almost 60-70 ancilliary industries related to construction with 180-200 units of vendors, suppliers and partners.
