In the last six months, no player has enjoyed such a rapid rise in their transfer value, according to an International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) report.

Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing Red Bull Leipzig forward Timo Werner, but the German worldwide has said the Premier League sides should give up attempting to sign him over the summer.

Based on an algorithm developed by the CIES Football Observatory's research team, the Liverpool winger edged the Brazilian by less than half-a-million.

The Egyptian forward, 25, has been arguably the Premier League's best player since joining from Roma in the summer.

The 25-year-old Egypt worldwide has scored 32 goals over 40 appearances in all competitions since moving from Roma to the Anfield outfit for €42m in June, helping the Reds to fourth place in the Premier League with eight matches remaining.

After Mbappe, Salah's Reds teammate Joe Gomez is a surprise inclusion, and is the players with the sixth most increased transfer value according to CIES.

Manchester City's duo Ederson and Leroy Sane came right after Salah for the players whose transfer values ascended the most.

There are suggestions Bale could be one of the bigger assets sold by Los Blancos this summer as part of a "major overhaul", with funds needed if they're to make a realistic move for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.
